Puppet Corp Project #1: Puppet Guild Fundraising On OrdX

The Puppet ecosystem has no central team, no official treasury, the founder doesn't spend his life working for free, the community has the responsibility to care for and grow that which they love; this is where Puppet Guild was born; an effort to collectively sell art and donate the proceeds to trusted community members to manage and create value such as at real world events or via online novel marketing concepts we curate as an open source community. Fundraising via OrdX @ www.ord-x.com/series/Puppet-Guild.

Puppet Corp Project #2: PUPPET COLLECTIBLES

The puppet community was born from the flames of Viral Public License which encourages and protects all artwork related to derivatives of the original art, basically creating open source art. With this comes the flood of obvious derivs such as the zillion AI PFPs, but we thought it would be fun to start focusing more on occasionally releasing more unique and fun puppet inspired art working with all the most legendary puppet artists!

Just Getting Started In Ordinals?

We are creating a map for future generations, more info sooooon.

Greetings from the Puppet Corp crew, here to clarify ordinals versus NFTs with a dash of flair! An ordinal is a unique, sequentially numbered satoshi—Bitcoin’s smallest unit—directly inscribed with data like images or text on the Bitcoin blockchain, leveraging SegWit and Taproot for robust, on-chain storage. Unlike NFTs, which are tokens on blockchains like Ethereum, often relying on off-chain metadata for their content, ordinals keep everything native to Bitcoin’s secure, decentralized ledger. This makes ordinals a lean, mean, on-chain collectible machine, offering a no-nonsense alternative to NFTs while still packing that collectible punch!

The Bitcoin Puppets are a group of Bitcoin native community members who often leverage the art of a well known super famous world class artist known as Lefou and/or the Puppeteer Lefou, the creator of the original Bitcoin Puppet PFP collection and it's parent/cousin collections OPIUM and Lasogette. Bitcoin Puppet art tends to take advantage of the humor related to very serious topics and aims to poke fun to everything, in an effort to lighten the mood, create a common ground and most of all help create communities for the right reasons; collectively doing good, spread positivity through playful bullying and helping usher in world peace one day.

Puppet Corp is a feeble attempt to organize chaos with the goal of having a goal and accomplishing things collectively as long as they help spread the message that our grandmaster Lefou put into the world; a simple message of world peace through art, humor and community. Puppet Corp takes that same mantra and attempts to combine it with that of normal day to day life in the modern corporate world.

Why not just like vote for it? Just ask the president nicely to help spread the message of world peace?? World peace is not something we will ever achieve through policy, government or single humans throughout history, it is a collective goal we must all share which embeds itself into all facets of daily culture, and it must sustain through repeated attempts to educate all parties on the benefits of world peace, and the world that could be ushered in with that as the goal.

Art is the worlds most powerful communication vehicle, stands the test of time (especially when stored on bitcoin), and creates a simple yet effective narrative that everyone can access, discuss and most of all enjoy. Humor helps lighten the mood and helps create more joy and powerful, positive narratives arise from these moments, if the whole world could laugh, the whole world could feel joy.

Ordinals don't have to be hard, but if you want to learn every single piece of the technology and spend the time it takes to make the mistakes required to learn, it very much can be. But don't let that worry you, it can also be just as easy as handing over art to launchpads such as OrdX and they handle all the heavy lifting for you.

But if you would like to learn everything on your own, that is very much possible with a few weeks of research, but at the end of the day you still end up launching with a launchpad or inscription service most of the time. The artists focus for ordinals tend to be on making sure file sizes are reasonable, quality remains satisfactory for everyone involved but also balances the costs of inscription for users and the miners, larger files tend to cost multiples more than properly compressed ones. This is the main thing to keep in mind when designing art for bitcoin.

  • Digital Art: Artwork that is stored in digital format, usually translated from nerdy 1's and 0's to display text, image or video formats on computers.
  • Altcoin: A blockchain or token that is not Bitcoin.
  • Bitcoin: The King of Blockchains, the first of his name, the bringer of financial reform, the original shitcoin... The king in the north, who rescued us from the financial blizzard of Wallstreet.
  • Blockchain:A software system that relies on a decentralized or distributed hardware node network to store data, perform transactions, etc worldwide in a peer-to-peer fashion or in a centralized one.
  • Bridge: A intermediary website, service, blockchain or other that helps facilitate value transfer between non compatible blockchains.
  • Decentralized:A system without a direct overlord, such as a peer-to-peer network system like a blockchain. Many variants of this format exists, some more centralized and some less distributed. Useful measurements include full node installs, address counts and transaction data. Although all data can be manufactured, it can be complex to measure concepts such as this.
  • Distributed: Not to be confused with a decentralized system, distributed systems can be fully centralized while remain physically independent from other pieces of its own network, such as being a worldwide node network with a centralized traditional company in charge, similar to a database, but spread out.
  • EVM:The Ethereum Virtual Machine; the nickname for the systems which helped build out the Ethereum blockchain that has been forked aka copied and reused countless times since. The EVM name is a name for the the system design structure mostly.
  • Layer 1: The base layer in which all data and transactions are recorded on the chain such as Bitcoin in this example.
  • Layer 2: The layer that exists above, or mostly only marketing and not in reality, most layer 1 blockchains. The claim is by using the secondary chain you can cut costs and then send your transaction data to the layer 1 when its bulk collected, thus reducing layer 1 usage and cost.
  • NFT: A non fungible token; or more commonly known as a digital piece of art stored on an EVM chain such as Ethereum. Art tends to be saved on IPFS or Arweave in this terminology.
  • Ordinal:A non fungible token; or more commonly known as a digital piece of art stored on an UTXO based chain such as Bitcoin. Art tends to be saved within the Bitcoin nodes utilizing a third party system to organize the art data in this terminology.
  • Satoshis:
  • Stablecoin:A complex system that claims to offer currencies that are more in line with the value of the dollar, aka the stability of the dollar. They tend to mostly be synthetic under collateralized IOU notes, but some larger players in the banking sector are running some of the larger ones such as USDC and native solutions such as USDT have many billions in government bonds, in short, they are maturing from their very gray origins.
  • UTXO: An Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) is the amount of digital currency remaining after a cryptocurrency transaction, acting as the fundamental building block of the Bitcoin ledger. Similar to physical cash, a wallet's balance is the sum of these discrete, unspent, and indivisible chunks of Bitcoin. Every transaction consumes existing UTXOs and creates new ones, which enhances privacy and security while preventing double-spending. UTXO chains tend to be forks of the Bitcoin codebase, or similar concepts, which differ from that of EVM products like Ethereum.
